Delius Klasing is a leading special interest publisher in the fields of water sports, cycling, automotive and football. We inspire our target groups with printed and digital media and more in the business areas of magazines, books/calendars, events and corporate publishing.
For our Event department at the locations Bielefeld or Munich we are looking preferably from 01.03.2023 for at least 28 hours per week one
Press spokesperson (m/f/d) for our event activities in the field of cycling
The employment relationship is initially limited to 1 year. Subsequent employment is possible.
These tasks await you:
- Creation of a PR communication plan for the entire event year
- Development and maintenance of a national/international PR distribution list
- Processing of press enquiries
- Research and preparation of press releases (German/English)
- Contact with our cycling editorial teams and regular synchronisation of PR activities
- Event support and journalist support on site
- Creating news and stories for our event websites
- Maintaining and expanding collaborations with media, bloggers & podcasts
- Content-related collaboration/exchange with our social media team
What you bring with you:
- Completed studies or training in the field of media/PR
- Several years of professional experience in the PR and media industry, ideally in the field of international press relations
- You find it easy to fulfil several tasks simultaneously and you enjoy working in cross-functional teams with different personalities and external agencies
- Enthusiasm and fun with cycling topics as well as great interest in our events and products
- Fast and correct work even under extreme time pressure
- Willingness to work overtime at peak times before and during events
- High flexibility and willingness to travel
- Fluent in written and spoken English
