The Road Bike Opening Week takes place in Naturno from 1 to 9 April 2017. With guided tours with coaching and tips from two ex-pros

During the first week of April, racing cyclists can start the season in South Tyrol together with the Swiss ex-professionals Oscar Camenzind (world road race champion in 1998 and Tour de Suisse winner in 2000) and Alex Zülle (Vuelta a España winner in 1996/97 and Tour de France runner-up in 1995/99). On six days (Wednesday is a rest day) the guides of the Ötzi Bike Academy Guided road bike tours in four performance groups from Naturno - the detailed programme is available here. This year marks the 11th time that the racing bike week has taken place, with around 70 racing cyclists taking part in each of the previous years. Camenzind, a great friend of South Tyrol, has been involved from the very beginning, Zülle for several years. Both know the area around Merano very well. The ex-professionals are available to talk to each performance group every day and give tips on how to ride a road bike properly in a group. The number of participants is limited. The test bikes are available to each participant two days a week to ensure that all participants can test the bikes.
