The Passo di Giau in the Dolomites is one of the most famous high mountain stages of the Giro d'Italia and is one of the most beautiful crossings in the Alps.

The Passo di Giau in the Dolomites is one of the famous high mountain stages of the Giro d'Italia and is one of the most beautiful crossings in the Alps. The ideal starting point is the winter sports resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo, site of the 1956 Winter Olympics, where there are numerous hotels, guesthouses and four campsites.
