Tour characteristics
The elevation profile of the Hausruck loop resembles a saw blade. Behind the Wels suburbs, a rural landscape follows to the west. A longer, moderate climb (3 to 8 %) to Wolfsegg offers a clear view of the Alps. The deeper the route leads into the Hausruck, the prettier the villages, grassland replaces grain fields. After Eberschwang, a winding road climbs to 719 metres, the highest altitude of the tour. From there it is briefly steep, then almost imperceptibly downhill - just under 40 kilometres to Wels. Rest tip (km 72.1): Wirt z Feichtet (https://johann-gurtner.business.site).
