Europe's road bike stage race for everyone unfortunately could not take place in 2021. Due to the pandemic situation, the organisers decided to postpone the 18th edition of the TOUR Transalp until 2022.

There will be no TOUR Transalp this year either. The organisers have announced the cancellation due to the "challenging pandemic situation". "In the interests of the health of everyone involved, those responsible have decided with a heavy heart to cancel the seven-day race through the high mountains," reads the press release.

The date for next year has already been set: there will finally be a race again from 19-25 June 2022. The new date brings the stage race back to its traditional time of organisation. Next season, the seven-day racing bike experience will once again take place in the classic early summer period.

The TOUR Transalp is Europe's largest stage race through the Alps and has fascinated the racing bike scene of many nations for 18 years. Every year, up to 1,000 cycling enthusiasts take on the challenge of crossing the Alps under their own steam.
