The second stage of the Tour of Poland 2024 featured a hilly individual time trial over 15.4 kilometres between Myslakowice and Karpacz. The fastest time was set by Tim Wellens (UAE Team Emirates) in 23:59 minutes. The Belgian was nine seconds faster than Jonas Vingegaard (Visma | Lease a Bike), who took the overall lead from Thibau Nys (Lidl-Trek), who had won stage 1.
Maximilian Schachmann (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) finished as the best German, who will ride for Soudal - Quick Step next seasonin fifth place. However, the 30-year-old is already a minute and a half behind Vingegaard in the overall standings of the Tour de Pologne 2024.
The Tour of Poland 2024 runs until next Sunday, when it ends in Krakow. On Wednesday, the riders face a very difficult day on stage 3 with 3159 metres of climbing.
