Konnte bei der Tirreno-Adriatico den dritten Tagessieg in Serie holen: Primoz Roglic.
The German professional cyclist Lennard Kämna was no longer able to jeopardise the sovereign leader Primoz Roglic in the Tirreno-Adriatico long-distance race and has dropped back in the overall standings.

The German time trial champion from Bora-Hansgrohe finished the sixth stage after 193 difficult kilometres 20 seconds behind stage winner Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) crossed the finish line in Osimo and slipped from second to fourth place.

Tirreno-Adriatico 2023: Third victory in a row for Roglic

Roglic was again unbeatable in the final and won the third stage in a row ahead of the Briton Tao Geoghegan Hart and the Portuguese João Almeida (UAE Team Emirates). The three-time Vuelta winner is now 18 seconds ahead of Almeida and 23 seconds ahead of Hart in the overall standings. Kämna, who took the leader's jersey after the fourth stage, is 34 seconds behind in fourth place. Nevertheless, Kämna is on course for the Giro d'Italia, where he wants to tackle the overall classification for the first time in a grand tour at the beginning of May.

Kämna comments

"We were in a good position on the penultimate climb. We gave it everything we had. I couldn't follow the best guys. I was in the second group, that was all I could do. I was missing a few per cent," said Kämna and added: "I can be satisfied with my form."

Roglic should not be able to take the overall victory on Sunday, as the last 80 kilometres of the seventh stage with start and finish in San Benedetto del Tronto run completely over flat terrain.
