What does a destination in the Dolomites need to be at the top of the cycling world? Exceptional panoramas, spectacular and well-maintained roads and numerous well-maintained and signposted trails that allow you to cycle in harmony with nature. But that alone is not enough: you also need a first-class service, from the hire of state-of-the-art equipment to bike hotels and specialised mountain huts to the shuttle service that takes the bikes to the summit. It is no coincidence that the Val di Fassa is a favourite destination for cyclists from all over Europe and beyond. After all, the Pordoi Pass, as well as Sella and Fedaia, made the history of the Giro d'Italia.
Of course, there are not only the hairpin bends of the Sella Ronda Bike Day, which takes place on 7 June and 13 September 2025, because the alternative routes for road bike lovers are almost as endless as the choice of gravel roads. For those who prefer more excitement, you can cross the Duron Valley from Campitello or take the forest road from Alba di Canazei to the Contrin mountain hut. In both cases, you have to overcome a certain difference in altitude at the start, which is also possible on an e-bike, and then cycle across marvellous plateaus.
Less trained cyclists and families, on the other hand, will get their money's worth on the Ciclabile delle Dolomiti di Fiemme e Fassa. And those in search of adrenaline should not miss the stage of the UCI Enduro World Cup 2025 (27 to 29 June) with its master routes.
The fifth stage of the UCI Enduro World Cup will be held in the Fassa Valley Dolomites from 27 to 29 June 2025. Following the success of the first UCI Enduro World Championship in 2024, amateurs will now also have the opportunity to compete in the Enduro Open Racing races on the World Cup routes. The year 2025 represents a historic milestone for Canazei and the entire Val di Fassa, which is celebrating ten years of Enduro events at the highest level. The journey began in 2015 with the Italian Enduro Hero Gravity Race Championship and culminated in 2024 with the first UCI Enduro World Championship.
