A new trend is emerging in time trial bikes. Special triathlon models with practical details such as integrated hydration systems, food boxes, extensive adjustment options and intelligent transport options are aimed specifically at triathletes. However, the bikes are not more streamlined than UCI-compliant models - as our wind tunnel test shows. Aerodynamically, all six models tested are at a similarly high level. Time trialists looking for the last small technical advantage must therefore focus on other details, especially tyres and clothing.
