The comparatively small squad comprises just eleven riders. For the smallest team by far in this year's Tour de France Femmes, it will be all about visibility for the sponsors, but also the chance of a surprise.
The team has two options as captain for the overall standings in stage races. Karolina Perekitko finished eleventh in the Itzulia Women Tour, but otherwise did not perform particularly well in the overall classification. Nadia Gontova, on the other hand, only finished 15th overall in the Itzulia Women, but impressed with her strong second place in the Tour Féminin International des Pyrénées, a second-class, three-day tour. The team could go into the Tour with a double lead and commit to one rider in the meantime.
Aurela Nerlo will be the main contender for stage wins in the Tour de France Femmes. The 27-year-old Polish rider showed what she is capable of at the Omloop Nieuwsblad WE. In the Belgian one-day race, Nerlo rode out of the peloton with Lotte Claes and was never caught again until the finish. In the end, she was only beaten by Claes, who won the sprint. Some of the biggest names in cycling finished well behind her. At the Tour de France Femmes, the Polish rider could also surprise with such an attack and try to get into a group. The other riders in the team will have to take on the role of helpers.
