The Lake and Alps Adventure 2025 promises cyclists a comprehensive cycling experience in Eastern Switzerland. From 1 April to 31 October 2025, participants with Road-, Gravel- or e-bikes, master challenges and become part of an active cycling community. The event is based on a points system with different reward levels and offers cyclists the opportunity to explore the region in a variety of ways. In total, participants can achieve up to 200 ranking points, which are made up of various activities. These include collecting 100 Adventure Points throughout the area, completing the main route, mastering five gravel routes and taking part in special Adventure Days and partner events.
The Lake and Alps Adventure 2025 offers four reward levels that participants can achieve by collecting points. The first level "Adventure Starter" starts at zero ranking points upon payment and includes a digital starter badge, access to 100 points collections, the main route and gravel highlights as well as specific tour tips. The second level "Adventure Explorer" is reached at 40 Adventure Ranking points and also includes a motivational package with official Lake and Alps Adventure socks. At 80 points, participants reach the "Adventure Pro" level, which includes an invitation to the final event on 1 November 2025 and automatic entry into the annual prize draw. The main prize is a Canyon bike. The highest level, "Adventure Legend", is reserved for those who reach all 100 Adventure locations.
The points system of the Lake and Alps Adventure 2025 allows participants to collect points in various ways in Eastern Switzerland. There are 10 points just for starting the adventure, four of which are for creating a type profile and six for bringing three friends. The majority of the points, up to 130, can be collected by discovering the region. This includes collecting all 100 adventure points, completing the main route for 15 extra points and mastering the five gravel highlight routes for a further 15 points. In addition, participants can collect up to 18 points by taking part in Lake and Alps Adventure Days. These exclusive events include events such as the "Sunset Ride Säntis", "Lake to Mountain" or the "Gravel Day".
An important aspect of the Lake and Alps Adventure 2025 is community engagement. Participants can collect up to 18 points through various community activities. These include tagging the event on social media (nine points), visiting community spots (six points) and taking part in a workshop (three points). In addition, points can be collected by participating in partner events such as the Säntis Classic, the Bodensee Cycle Marathon or the GP Jolandaland. Each of these events earns five points, with a total opportunity of 15 points. To round off the experience in Eastern Switzerland, participants can also collect points for overnight stays in partner hotels, with a maximum of nine points for three nights.
Three different package options are available for the Lake and Alps Adventure 2025. The free "Try & Ride" package allows interested parties to test the event for 10 days, albeit with limited functions. The "Adventure Pass" for 150 Swiss francs offers full access to the event, including all reward levels, exclusive partner vouchers and special deals at partner hotels. The "Ultimate Pass" for 225 Swiss francs also includes participation in the final event and the official Lake and Alps Adventure Jersey 2025. Both paid packages also include access to the Adventure Days, with Ultimate Pass holders enjoying priority participation.
In addition to the physical rewards, the Lake and Alps Adventure 2025 also offers various digital awards. These include special badges for completing all five gravel segments, completing the main route and collecting points in the Partner Events, Community and Adventure Days categories. There is also a tourism badge for three overnight stays in partner hotels. These digital rewards serve as additional motivation and recognition for the participants' achievements during the event.
The centrepiece of the cycling region is the new Lake and Alps Main Route - a 540-kilometre route with over 9,000 metres of elevation gain that connects the whole of Eastern Switzerland. It runs over six stages, each with its own character: from a relaxed ride along Lake Constance through the hilly landscapes of Toggenburg to the alpine challenges of Schwägalp or Vordere Höhe. Anyone who rides the entire Main Route already collects 40 of the 100 Adventure points.
