The Simac Ladies Tour 2025 spans six stages and is the last World Tour highlight of the professional women's season on European soil. The record winner of the tour is Marianne Vos, who won the race four times in a row between 2009 and 2012. Last year, Belgian Lotte Kopecky won again after her triumph at the Tour of Holland in 2023. Four German riders have also won the Tour: Petra Rossner won in 2001, Tanja Hennes in 2005, Charlotte Becker in 2008 and most recently it was Lisa Brennauer in 2015 who won the stage race.

The route of the Simac Ladies Tour 2025 at a glance

The Simac Ladies Tour 2025 runs over a total of six stages, four of which are flat stages and bunch sprints are the most likely scenario for the race finishes - if the wind, which is notorious in the Netherlands, doesn't throw a spanner in the works. Stage 5 also leads over flat terrain, but will take the form of an individual time trial. Due to the flat profile and many long straights, no large gaps are to be expected here. Instead, stage 2 could be decisive in the battle for overall victory. Due to some short climbs, a classics specialist could break away and celebrate the overall victory. But the bonus seconds could also play a major role in the overall victory over the six days.

The Simac Ladies Tour 2025 kicks off with an almost 8-kilometre circuit in Leuven. The riders have to contend with a small climb every now and then on the circuit, which is why they have to overcome a total of 830 metres in altitude. In all likelihood, however, there will still be a bunch sprint.

Stage 2 takes the riders on a circuit from Gennep to Groesbeek and back. The peloton has to complete this loop four times. The stage with the start and finish in Gennep is the only stage of the six-day tour that is not signposted as flat. There will certainly be attempts by individual riders to break away from the field here. Whether they will be successful, however, is questionable.

Stage 3 is flat as a plate. In the form of a large circuit, just under 160 kilometres are ridden, with the start and finish in Zeewolde not far from Amsterdam. A bunch sprint is also very likely here - if the wind from the Markermeer doesn't put a spanner in the works.

The 4th stage of the Simac Ladies Tour 2025 also takes the form of a circuit. The start and finish are in Alkmaar, while the circuit, which has to be cycled four times, is outside the city. Once again, the sprinters could strike on this stage, as metres in altitude are again rare. The elevation profile is only a few metres off sea level.

The individual time trial is scheduled for stage 5. From the start in Doetinchem, the riders will make their way to the finish in Westendorp. The first half of the route involves a few metres of climbing, which is why the profile is slightly undulating. Nevertheless, the specialists should have the best cards.

The start and finish of the 6th and final stage of the Simac Ladies Tour 2025 will be in Lichtenvoorde. A longer circuit is ridden once before a local 13.9-kilometre course has to be conquered twice. The metres in altitude are also manageable on this stage, but there are some short and steep ramps on the second half. It is quite possible that the race will only be decided on this final stage.
