Test 2016: Road bike saddle from Brooks
The saddles in the Cambium line from Brooks are an insider tip among long-distance cyclists.

However, many racing cyclists have found the seats with their cotton reinforced rubber saddle cover too heavy. The new C13 is now set to change this. A narrow cover and a carbon frame reduce the weight to 266 grams. The elaborately manufactured, one-piece substructure comes from the group sister Fizik, which, like Brooks, belongs to the empire of the Italian saddle manufacturer Selle Royal. The seat is noticeably less elastic than on the wider Cambium C15 and C17 models. Even after several rides, the saddle felt quite firm, but not uncomfortable. The craftsmanship is high quality and the colouring in the fabric seems to be more resistant to fading than in older models. With its narrow seat, which tilts to the sides early on, the C13 appeals to riders with a narrow sit bone distance. The high-oval struts require a support with appropriate clamping.

PLUS High-quality finish
