Single test: PTP carbon saddle clamp
The carbon saddle clamp from P Velotec weighs just 5.5 grams.

Under the label PTP (Pütz Tuning Parts), the company P Velotec sells all kinds of lightweight parts for road bikes, from the Ahead cap to the stem - including a carbon saddle clamp weighing 5.5 grams (a standard clamp weighs five times as much), which is clamped using high-strength aluminium barrel nuts and a five-millimetre titanium screw. The clamps are available in diameters of 30 to 39 millimetres and heights of 14, 15 and 16 millimetres. The maximum tightening torque of the screw is just under seven Newton metres. In our test, the very neatly finished clamp held reliably at just five Newton metres and was able to withstand ten tightening cycles up to the maximum torque without grumbling. According to the manufacturer, four hours of work went into this filigree part, which costs 99 euros.
