Route of the TOUR Transalp powered by Sigma 2016 announced
The TOUR Transalp powered by Sigma 2016 starts in Austria for the first time. From Imst, the route covers 893 kilometres and 19,436 metres in altitude to Riva del Garda.

For the first time in its history, the stage race for everyone starts in Austria. From Imst, the route leads a maximum of 600 teams of two via Brixen to St. Vigil and thus directly into the heart of the Dolomites. Further stage towns are Sillian and Fiera di Primiero. From there, the route runs along the southern flank of the Alps to Crespano del Grappa and from there via Levico Terme to Riva del Garda, which is the finish of the TOUR Transalp for the fourth time.

In addition to a scenically varied route, participants can also look forward to more than 20 mountain passes.

The official registration process starts on 1 December from 12:00 noon on online-registration.com.

1st stage 26.06.16 Imst (AUT) - Brixen (ITA) 154 km, 2,786 m elevation gain

2nd stage 27.06.16 Bressanone (ITA) - San Vigilio (ITA) 111 km, 3,059 m elevation gain

3rd stage 28.06.16 St. Vigil (ITA) - Sillian (ITA) 132 km, 2,697 m elevation gain

4th stage 29.06.16 Sillian (AUT) - Fiera di Primiero (ITA) 135 km, 2,709 m elevation gain

Stage 5 30.06.16 Fiera di Primiero (ITA) - Crespano del Grappa (ITA) 126 km, 2,443 m elevation gain

Stage 6 01.07.16 Crespano del Grappa (ITA) - Levico Terme (ITA) 144 km, 3,248 m elevation gain

7th stage 02.07.16 Levico Terme (ITA) - Riva del Garda (ITA) 96 km, 2,504 m elevation gain

Total 893 km, 19,436 metres in altitude
