The subsidiary brand of Giant is going full throttle despite the crisis: with the new Liv aero road bike EniviLiv, the genes of the successful Giant Propel are to be found in a model specially tailored to women. The competition road bike from Liv Bikes is light and aerodynamic, also covers very small sizes, but only offers a limited range of equipment options.

For the development of the new Liv Bikes EnviLiv aero racing bike for women, the mega corporation from Taiwan went to enormous lengths, as is usual for bike manufacturers of this size. The frame shape was preceded by computer simulations, wind tunnel tests and years of experience with professional female racers. Like the model Giant Propelwhich made its debut at last year's men's Tour de France and won several stages, the Liv EnviLiv road bike is no longer a categorical aero bike. In addition to the aerodynamics, the developers haggled over every gram of weight without reducing the stiffness and also gave the formerly rock-hard aero racing machine a pleasant degree of comfort.

Liv Aero road bike EnviLiv: Frame sizes also suitable for small women

The Women's road bike from Liv comes with a race-tuned riding position in five frame sizes from a tiny XXS to a medium-sized L. In the smallest size of the EnviLiv, the top tube is just under 50 centimetres and the head tube a good ten centimetres short - small but highly motivated women in particular could find the road bike of their dreams in this model. The geometry concept is harmonised with narrow handlebars and women's-specific saddles.

Liv Bikes EnviLiv: Two frame qualities and prices from 2999 euros

The Liv Bikes EnviLiv is available in two carbon frame qualities. According to Giant, the top-of-the-range EnviLiv Advanced SL version, which is only sold as a frame set for self-assembly, uses state-of-the-art manufacturing processes from its own factory. Manufacturer Liv has not yet provided any information on the weights of the new women's road bike for 2023. All variants have an aero seatpost and aerodynamically integrated bottle cages; the frame and fork offer clearance for tyres up to 30 millimetres wide. The complete EnviLiv Advanced 1 and Advanced 2 bikes come with electronic SRAM Rival AXS gears and Giant carbon wheels for 4799 euros; or with mechanical Shimano 105 2x11 gears and aluminium rims for a price of 2999 euros. The EnviLiv Advanced SL aero road bike frameset with seat post costs 3899 euros.
