Relatively light, comfortable carbon frame. Mountain-compatible gearing, simple clincher tyres, only three sizes.

The beautifully painted carbon frame of the Giant is one of the visual highlights of the test field. The bike is designed for a relaxed, upright riding position. The concept is supported by the good comfort of the aero seat post and a very wide, softly padded saddle at the rear. The perfectly shaped handlebars were highly praised. A relatively slack steering angle makes the bike a little sluggish, and the Avail requires more effort than other bikes when cornering at speed. The target group should have no problems with the rather moderate steering head stiffness. The triple crankset and Shimano brakes, identical to the Tiagra models but with better pads, work well. The simple wheels with heavy clincher tyres offer potential. Unfortunately only available in three sizes.
