The Hamburg-based bicycle manufacturer Stevens is recalling its Super Trofeo model. The model years 2014 to 2017 are affected.
The press release states: "Through our product observations, we have become aware of isolated failures of the stems on our Stevens Super Trofeo model from model years 2014 to 2017."
Failure of the component can result in immediate loss of control, which can lead to accidents. Stevens Vertriebs GmbH warns against continuing to use the Super Trofeo with the original stem from model years 2014 - 2017 and asks all customers to take advantage of the free replacement.
