The pump attachment sits at the end of a hose encased in steel braiding, which disappears into the piston during transport. The attachment is screwed onto the valve before pumping and is held securely in place. This means you can concentrate on pumping and do not run the risk of bending the valve. Thanks to the small piston diameter, pumping is easy, but it takes time: around 200 strokes are required to bring a 25 mm tyre up to five bar. If this pumping performance is too puny for you, the five euro more expensive, otherwise identical long version could be a convincing option. However, this will no longer fit in your jersey pocket.
