Following the early withdrawal of her team-mate Marlen Reusser from the Tour, all eyes at the Spanish team Movistar are now on Liane Lippert. And on her work bike: the Canyon Aeroad CFR in a special colour scheme, which the Koblenz-based company now also offers for everyone.

The colour variant of Lippert's racing machine is from the so-called Opus collection, with Italian artist Elena Salmistraro responsible for the design. The light blue paintwork with bright splashes of colour for amateur athletes costs 500 euros extra.

The Movistar rider, like several other pros at the Tour de France Femmes and Tour de France, is to draw attention to Canyon's new custom programme. "MyCanyon" was previously only available in the USA and Asia. At market launch, only the Aeroad CFR can be customised. In addition to the paintwork, you can also choose the derailleur group, wheels, saddle and stem length.

On the flat stage to Poitiers on Tuesday, Lippert opted for a comparatively fast set-up: Aero wheels from Zipp, time trial tyres from Continental and a chainring combination from SRAM with 52/39 teeth. For the fifth stage, the longest of this year's Tour Femmes at 166 kilometres, the Tour stage winner from 2023 switched to the wider Archetype tyres with 30 millimetres.

Peak wattage values

At 1.68 metres tall, Lippert rides the Aeroad CFR in size XS. In contrast to the standard model, however, the 27-year-old uses slightly shorter cranks: 165 instead of 170 millimetres. As with the men's team under the same name, the Spanish women's team has only brought the Koblenz-based company's flagship model to France. Its first-class aerodynamics, 204 watts in the TOUR test, offer more advantages than a comparatively light model like the Ultimate CFR on almost all course profiles.
