The 74th edition of the Tour of Spain kicks off on 24 August in the coastal town of Torrevieja with an 18-kilometre team time trial. The route then heads north from the Costa Blanca through Catalonia and Andorra. After a detour to France, the route continues through the Basque Country and Asturias, before the three-week tour ends as usual in the capital Madrid after a few stages in central Spain.
