It remains to be seen whether the races at the 2016 Tour de France will be exciting. In any case, unusual images are guaranteed. For the first time, there will be live images directly from the peloton via "onboard" cameras.

Every day, 14 professional cyclists' bikes are fitted with cameras at the Tour de France. Three of the small action cameras even broadcast live and are woven into the normal TV coverage. Both the images and the sound are transmitted. The recordings from the 11 cameras without a connection to the satellite are included in daily summaries, which are offered on YouTube and elsewhere.

A total of five motorbikes will be ready to race, from which TV footage will be broadcast. The Tour de France is watched in 190 countries around the world. 60 broadcasters show the Tour stages live.
