Nacon and Cyanide Studio are launching their cycling simulation game as the official game of the Grand Tour. The developers have incorporated changing weather conditions during the races. This means players have to engage more closely with each route. The game is available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox from €49.90, and the digital licence key costs €39.90.
The game faithfully recreates the 21 stages of the 2026 Tour de France. The route runs from Barcelona, home to the Sagrada Familia, to Paris and the Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre basilica. Players can control most of the season’s riders, including Tadej Pogačar and Remco Evenepoel, each wearing their official jerseys and representing their respective teams. Three modes are available from the start. Two single-player modes allow you to control your own cyclist or an entire team. The online multiplayer mode supports up to six players simultaneously.
Cyanide is a French video game development company founded in 2000 and headquartered in Nanterre. The company has two branches in Montreal and Bordeaux. Cyanide is best known for its sports games, including the PC series ‘Pro Cycling Manager’ and the console version of ‘Tour de France’.
The 2026 Tour de France features varied route conditions, making each stage a challenge in its own right. Varying weather conditions, such as sunshine or rain, have a significant impact on riding performance. Wet roads, demanding descents and changing conditions require precise reactions and technical skill, as mistakes can have a direct impact on the race result.
The game’s dynamic weather system allows conditions to change during a stage. This means that a race which starts in dry weather may continue in the rain, requiring players to adapt their driving strategy. In wet conditions, the riders’ agility and technical skills become even more important. Players must control their racing lines, weigh up the risks and make strategic use of their riders’ balance to secure a top position.
