TOUR is up close and personal with the Tour de France 2024 and took a look around the paddock in the run-up to the Grand Depart in Florence. We discovered a previously unreleased aero bike from Van Rysel, which later celebrated its race premiere on stage 2: the FCR Pro. What's it all about?

At the team presentation, we also discovered a previously unreleased racing bike from Van Rysel. The sports equipment giant Decathlon's own brand is equipping the Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale team this year. So far, the riders around climbing specialist Felix Gall have been travelling on the RCR, which TOUR has already tested.

There is no official information on the new aero bike yet. While the Decathlon pros were on stage, we were able to take a look at the new bike. In addition to the eye-catching paintwork and the aero tyres, the flat tube shapes on the head tube, fork and seat tube are striking. The bike, which was mounted unattended on an escort vehicle, was fitted with a single drivetrain with a chainring from the British tuning company Drag2Zero. The cockpit was made by Deda, the wheels by Swiss Side.

The FCR Pro then celebrated its race premiere on the second stage. Sam Benett and Oliver Naesen were on the bike.
