Roglic's Specialized doesn't just stand out because of its new paintwork. At 6830 grams (including pedals, bottle cage and computer mount), the frame size 52 racing machine is also likely to be one of the lightest bikes in the peloton.
The bike of the co-favourite for overall victory in the 2024 Tour de France is equipped with SRAM's new Red AXS and a 54/41 crankset. Like almost all of his team-mates, Roglic rides a one-piece cockpit from Roval with a handlebar width of 400 millimetres and a 120 millimetre stem. The wheels are also from Roval with different rim heights on the front and rear wheels. For the tyres, the Slovenian relies on classic clinchers with 26 millimetres and latex tubes. "Because they are faster than tubeless tyres," says chief technician Gerd Kodanik.
Roglic's racing machine corresponds to the S-Works Tarmac SL8 from our TOUR test. The combination of low weight, strong aerodynamics and high stiffness earned the Specialized a dream score.
