Team Tudor is consistently and carefully building up the squad. Experienced players such as the Austrian Marco Haller (centre) provide guidance to the young talents
Strength lies in calmness: the Swiss Tudor team is forging its own consistent path to the very top of the cycling world.

The project to secure promotion to the World Tour, initiated by Olympic champion and former classics specialist Fabian Cancellara, is progressing with the precision of a Swiss watch. The management is calmly building a squad comprising established, experienced riders who are attracting attention – including Julian Alaphilippe, Matteo Trentin, Marco Haller and Marc Hirschi – as well as young riders. They are also taking the time to nurture talented athletes who were burnt out early on in other teams or who failed to find an environment in which they could thrive. This includes the top German talent Marco Brenner, whom some already consider a failure, even though he will only turn 24 in August. The team has made changes to just four positions for the 2026 season, which is well below the average in the professional peloton.

As a student of German and political science, the flawless amateur sportsman once decided to try his luck as a journalist. His passion for racing bikes led him straight to the TOUR editorial team as an intern, which has since become an affair of the heart that has lasted more than 30 years, 16 of them as editor-in-chief. As a - in his own words - "generalist in the cycling niche", he is interested in all topics relating to road bikes (and gravel bikes) and is still particularly enthusiastic about racing today. Highlights of his own career as a racing cyclist include taking part in the TOUR-Transalp, the odd everyman race and regular Alpine tours with friends.
