The Amstel Gold Race Ladies Edition is part of the UCI Women's WorldTour and is a highly prestigious women's race. Last year's women's race was a real home game: the 11th edition ended with a Dutch triple victory. Dutch rider Mischa Bredewold (Team SD Worx - Protime) celebrated a home victory in the women's Amstel Gold Race 2025. She and four other riders broke away from a large breakaway group 18 kilometres before the finish on the Geulhemmerberg, which she then left behind on the final Cauberg. On the home straight, the 24-year-old defended her lead against her rivals and celebrated her first victory in a classic at World Tour level in her home country. Just a few seconds behind her, Ellen van Dijk (Lidl-Trek) secured second place, with Puck Pieterse (Fenix-Deceuninck) in third.

The women start one hour before the men on the market square in Maastricht. The women's race covers a 158-kilometre course through Dutch Limburg. A total of 22 climbs await the riders on the route, starting with the Maasberg. In the first half of the race, the Kruisberg, Eyserbosweg, Fromberg and Keutenberg are also on the programme. Around 80 kilometres before the finish, the riders reach the circuit in and around Valkenburg. They complete this course a total of four times, each time having to conquer the trio of Cauberg, Geulhemmerberg and Bemelerberg. The final stage is a fifth crossing of the Cauberg, the highest point of which is around 2.5 kilometres before the finish line. The route promises a spectacular race with numerous opportunities for attacks in the final phase.

The organisers have drawn up a schedule based on the expected average speed, which lists all the important climbs and the calculated time. The race will be decided by the Cauberg on the final lap, which will be ridden several times.

Amstel Gold Race 2026: Live stream only

The women's Amstel Gold Race 2026 will not be televised on Eurosport as planned. Due to the last-minute inclusion of the Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, the women's race will only be streamed live. The broadcast on discovery+ and HBO Max will begin on 19 April at 12:45 pm.
