Cycling star Primoz Roglic has extended his contract with Dutch team Jumbo-Visma ahead of schedule until 2025. This was announced by the racing team.
The 32-year-old Slovenian was originally tied to the team, where German former professional Grischa Niermann works as sporting director, until 2023. "I still want to develop in certain areas and I'm in the right place for that," said Roglic.
The Jumbo captain has had an emotional season. As one of the big favourites, Roglic crashed at the Tour de France and had to retire. After a break, he won the Olympic individual time trial in Tokyo and then the Tour of Spain for the third time in a row. However, his main goal remains to win the Tour, which his compatriot Tadej Pogacar secured in the last two years.
