Berlin (dpa) - Double Olympic champion Kristina Vogel is not aiming for a second sporting career.

"I'm so big-souled to say that winning is fun and if I invest so much, then I want to see success. I don't see that at the moment. And to be honest, I don't even have time to train that much," said the 29-year-old in an interview with "ntv.de".

The former track cyclist had been asked time and again whether she could imagine a career in Paralympic sport. "I believe that my time in competitive sport would have passed at some point anyway. Now it came a few years earlier than would have been the plan. That's how plans work," said Vogel, who has been paralysed below the seventh thoracic vertebra since 26 June 2018 following a training accident.
