As part of the Visma | Lease a Bike team presentation on 22 December, the new jersey for the men's team was also unveiled. Jonas Vingegaard and the women's team led by Fem van Empel. Although Jumbo is no longer the namesake, the new team Visma | Lease a Bike still uses the yellow and black colours from the supermarket chain's logo and the Jumbo print can still be seen on the riders' backs.
A honeycomb-like pattern has been added to the belly area, emphasising the "killer wasp" image that Jumbo-Visma has developed in recent years. As in 2023, the outfit is manufactured by Agu.
The new design of the Cervélo S5 for the new season, which Jonas Vingegaard will wear to his third Tour de France victory in a row, was also shown at the team presentation. The men's squad comprises 28 riders. Cian Uijtdebroeks, whose transfer was agreed between Bora-Hansgrohe and the Dutch team after a long dispute, was also present at the team presentation.
The women's team, which is part of the Women's World Tour, includes 14 riders in 2024. These include the current cyclocross world champion Fem van Empel, former champion Marianne Vos and 20-year-old German Linda Riedmann.
There was long speculation about the future of the team in autumn 2023. In the meantime, a mega-merger with Soudal - Quick Step, the team around Remco Evenepoel but that never materialised. A new sponsor was finally found in the form of Lease a Bike, which, alongside the software company Visma, will be the new namesake of manager Richard Plugge's team. Lease a Bike is a brand of Bike Mobility Services GmbH, which is part of Pon Holding - one of the largest bicycle manufacturers with brands such as Cannondale, Cervélo and Focus.
