Tour de France champion Tadej Pogacar has claimed his first win of the season and taken the lead in the overall standings of the UAE Tour.
The Slovenian professional cyclist took victory on the fourth stage after 181 kilometres at the mountain arrival in Jebel Jais. Second and third place went to Briton Adam Yates and Russian Aleksandr Vlasov from the German Bora-hansgrohe team.
Pogacar is now two seconds ahead of the Italian time trial world champion Filippo Ganna in the overall standings. Vlasov is third, 13 seconds back. The tour ends on Saturday in Jebel Hafeet.
