Seven-time Olympic track cycling champion Jason Kenny is ending his career to work as a sprint coach for British Cycling.
This was reported by the Daily Mail. The 33-year-old Kenny is Great Britain's most successful Olympic starter: he won seven gold medals and nine Olympic medals in four Olympic appearances between 2008 and 2021.
Kenny, trained by German Jan van Eijden, triumphed in the keirin competition in Tokyo. Van Eijden has been working as national coach for the German Cycling Federation since 1 February 2022 after 15 years with British Cycling.
