Siegten zum Auftakt beim Nations Cup der Bahnradsportler in Kanada: Die deutschen Frauen im Teamsprint.

The German women won the team sprint competition at the start of the Track Cycling Nations Cup in Milton, Canada.

In their first joint appearance since winning the World Championship title in October 2021, Pauline Grabosch (Erfurt), Lea Sophie Friedrich and Emma Hinze (both Cottbus) won the final in 46.807 seconds against the team from the Netherlands (47.421).

There were two bronze medals for the men in the team competitions on the first day. Debutant Paul Schippert (Erfurt), Stefan Bötticher (Chemnitz) and Marc Jurczyk (Erfurt) took third place in the team sprint. Third place in the 4000 metre team pursuit also went to Tobias Buck-Gramcko (Göttingen), Nicolas Heinrich (Zwickau), Leon Rohde (Wedel) and Domenic Weinstein (Unterbaldingen).
