Olympic silver medallists Emma Hinze and Lea Sophie Friedrich won the team sprint title together with young rider Sandra Hainzl at the German track cycling championships in Kaarst-Büttgen.
The riders from RSC Cottbus won the final in 48.504 seconds against a mixed team led by three-time team sprint world champion Pauline Grabosch (Erfurt/48.847).
In the men's team sprint, a trio from RSC Cottbus also came out on top. Nik Schröter, Maximilian Dörnbach and Anton Höhne won the final run in 46.458 seconds against Thuringia (46.965).
On the third of six days of competition, two titles went to Tim-Torn Teutenberg from Cologne in the scratch and just under six hours later in the elimination race. "I'm super happy to have won the title in my favourite discipline, the elimination race," said Teutenberg, who relegated World Tour pro Roger Kluge from Berlin to second place.
Fabienne Jährig from BRC Zugvogel Berlin won the final women's points race. "It was a very tough race, but I tried something right at the start. In the end, I had nothing left to lose and it worked out," said the new German champion.
