Tour of Spain - Dainese wins stage 19 - Kuss continues in the red jersey

Alberto Dainese has won the 19th stage of the Tour of Spain and celebrated his success in a bunch sprint. The Italian won in Íscar ahead of his compatriot Filippo Ganna and Dutchman Marijn van den Berg. Favourite Kaden Groves was held up by a crash about one kilometre before the finish.

There was no change at the top of the overall standings. The American Sepp Kuss from the dominant Jumbo-Visma team leads ahead of his team-mates Jonas Vingegaard (17 seconds) and Primoz Roglic (1:08 minutes).

On Saturday, Kuss will be able to almost complete the biggest success of his career to date. On the 207.9 kilometres from Manzanares El Real to Guadarrama, there are ten mountain classifications to tackle, but all of them are only classified in the third category. On the final stage to Madrid on Sunday, the leader is traditionally no longer attacked.
