Former Tour de France champion Geraint Thomas is about to win the Tour de Suisse for the first time.
The Briton from Team Ineos Grenadiers had to take the yellow jersey on the 194.6 kilometre mountain stage from Ambri to Malbun. Tour de Suisse to the Colombian Sergio Higuita of the German Bora-hansgrohe team, but as a strong time trialist he should easily make up the two-second deficit in the final battle against the clock on Sunday.
