Tour de France - Stage 2: In the footsteps of the Clásica San Sebastian

The second stage of the 110th Tour de France is also a tough one. As in the opening stage, five mountain classifications await on the 208.9 kilometre section from Vitoria-Gasteiz to San Sebastian.

The Jaizkibel, the last climb a good 16 kilometres before the finish, a second category climb, should be familiar to riders from the Clásica San Sebastian, although it is ridden in the opposite direction. Over a distance of eight kilometres, the climb averages 5.3 per cent. Once again, the classics specialists will be waiting for their chance.
