Shortly before the second rest day, the professional cyclists at the Tour de France are facing the next Alpine thriller. The 179 kilometres on Sunday start off flat.
The second half of the 15th stage, on the other hand, has several tough climbs in store. Among other things, the riders have to tackle the section to the Col de Croix Fry with a seven per cent gradient over eleven kilometres.
The stage ends with a mountain finish in the Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc ski resort. Here, too, there is likely to be another battle between Tour favourites Jonas Vingegaard and Tadej Pogacar.
