Der Bremer will im nächsten Jahr wieder bei der Tour de France starten.
After a year away, German tour hopeful Lennard Kämna is planning a return to the Tour de France next year.

Lennard Kämna speaks out

"I'm really looking forward to next year, when I might be at the start of the Tour again. I hope that I can show something nice of myself again," the Bremen native told ARD. Kämna won the Tour stage to Villard-de-Lans in 2020 and was only caught 75 metres from the finish as a breakaway rider on the Planche des Belles Filles last year.

This year, the 26-year-old rode a grand tour for the first time and finished ninth in the Giro d'Italia. "For me personally, it was the right move not to go to the Tour and say I'll do the Tour and then ride the Vuelta," said Kämna. Kämna wants to chase stages in the Tour of Spain, which starts on 26 August. His next race is the Tour of Poland from 29 July to 4 August.
