Cycling superstar Tadej Pogacar is enjoying the duel with rival Jonas Vingegaard at the Tour de France.
"I'm enjoying this battle against him for the third year in a row. It's a great duel," said the 24-year-old two-time Tour winner as the second rest day of the Tour of France approached for the pros. Pogacar won this in 2020 and 2021, Vingegaard in 2022.
Both exceptional drivers treat each other with respect in public. "We drive each other on, also to develop ourselves further," said Pogacar. He could not say which of the two is currently the psychologically stronger. With six stages remaining until the end of this year's Tour in Paris, the Slovenian is only ten seconds behind the Danish defending champion Vingegaard.
