The Franco-German broadcaster Arte is showing a documentary about the big climbs of the Tour de France. The first episode will be broadcast on 24 June.

"The Queen Stages of the Tour de France" is the title of a five-part series that will be broadcast on Arte. From 24 to 28 June, a major climb of the Tour de France will be presented at 5 pm each day. The series looks back at the cycling history of the Galibier, the road to Alpe d'Huez, Tourmalet, Mont Ventoux and Puy de Dome. The individual episodes are 26 minutes long.

Cycling fans are reminded of exciting moments from the Tour de France. You shouldn't expect a critical review from the Arte programme - instead, the race clips are accompanied by heroic music and even caught doping offenders are honoured without criticism.
