A trio of riders from the AG2R-Citroën team rode an exclusive BMC on stage 6 of the Tour de France. Felix Gall, who had taken the dotted jersey the day before, Ben O'Connor and Aurelien Paret-Peintre rode the BMC Teammachine SLR in the Masterpiece version. This is a luxury label from the Swiss manufacturer that is comparable to the S-Works series from Specialized.

The technical data of Felix Gall's BMC road bike

According to BMC, the Teammachine SLR Mpc frameset weighs just 1039 grams (size 54). According to TOUR information, BMC has the frame and fork manufactured in a carbon forge in Germany. For the set consisting of frame, fork, handlebar unit and seat post, the Swiss company is asking an impressive 12,000 euros.

Felix Gall will be riding the luxury model at the Tour de France 2023 with Campagnolo's Super Record Wireless with an old EPS crank and 54/39 chainring combination. The 25 millimetre tubular tyres from Pirelli are a custom-made product and cannot be purchased in this form. In addition to the maillot à pois rouges, the Austrian, who finished a strong third in the first stage of the Tour de France in the Pyrenees, has also colour-coordinated his Wahoo computer and Look pedals.

Felix Gall's greatest success

The 25-year-old Austrian Felix Gall celebrated his greatest success to date at the Tour de Suisse in preparation for the Tour de France: He won a mountain stage in the Tour of Switzerland and even led the overall standings at one point.
