Chris Froome, four-time winner of the Tour de France, will be on the starting line of the Grand Boucle, which begins on 1 July.
The Briton is part of the eight-man line-up of the Israel-PremierTech racing team.
There had recently been a big question mark over the 37-year-old's participation after he was injured in the Criterium du Dauphine had dropped out. This is Froome's tenth Tour de France participation.
Froome won the Tour of France in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017, but since his serious crash shortly before the 2019 Tour, when he suffered numerous broken bones, he has never returned to his former level.
The Dane Jakob Fuglsang is expected to captain the Israel team, having last competed in the Tour de Suisse was in very good form. Cologne's Rick Zabel, on the other hand, is not in the eight-man squad.
