The 14th stage of the Tour of France in the Alps is a tough one. Over the 151.8 kilometres this Saturday, the professional cyclists have to have good legs and conquer five mighty mountains in an up and down course.
After three first-category climbs, the arrival at the Col de la Joux Plane awaits with an average gradient of a whopping 8.5 per cent. After that, the riders have to be careful, as the route descends for around twelve kilometres towards the finish in Morzine les Portes du Soleil.
A breakaway group could have the best cards on the section with more than 4,000 metres of climbing, with Georg Zimmermann from Augsburg possibly being given free rein.
