After almost ten successful years, Grischa Niermann is leaving the top cycling team Visma, led by two-time Tour winner Jonas Vingegaard. This was announced by the Dutch team. The Hanoverian will reportedly join the German Lidl team for the new season. The 50-year-old was most recently Head of Racing at Visma.

Niermann was promoted to the WorldTour team within the racing team in 2017 and led Vingegaard to two Tour victories as sporting director.
