Florian Stork from Tudor Pro Cycling took his first professional victory at the Trofeo Serra Tramuntana, the third race in the Mallorca Challenge (a series of one-day races). The race, which covered 151.3 kilometres from Lluc to Selva in the northern region of Mallorca, was characterised by bad weather and challenging climbs such as the Coll de Sa Batalla, the Puig Major and the Coll de Sóller. The 27-year-old Stork managed to break away from the competition with a surprising attack 3.3 kilometres before the finish and crossed the finish line as the solo winner.

Tudor Pro Cycling Team with teamwork

With 43 kilometres to go, Antonio Morgado (UAE Team Emirates - XRG) opened up the finale and broke away on the Coll de Sóller together with Diego Ulissi (XDS Astana Team). While Ulissi dropped back in the descent, Morgado stayed in front. However, the 21-year-old Portuguese rider was caught again by a large chasing group, which also included Florian Stork. This group controlled the race until the final kilometres, before the Tudor Pro Cycling Team, which had a second rider in the leading group in Marc Hirschi, allowed Stork to attack and he rode to victory.

Florian Stork overjoyed after victory

"I can't believe it. We were here with Marc (Hirschi) as one of the favourites. In the end, we were both at the front. Then Marc told me: 'When you see the right moment coming, then ride'," said the German on Eurosport, describing the final. "That worked out perfectly. My first professional victory. Sometimes I thought that this day would never come. It's just incredible." Stork has been part of the Tudor Pro Cycling Team since 2024. He previously rode for Team dsm-firmenich and its predecessor teams.
