The final week kicks off with a challenging individual time trial from Passy to Combloux. Most of the 22.4 kilometres are flat, but the 2.5 kilometre long Côte de Domancy must be tackled towards the end. With an average gradient of 9.4 per cent, the climb is something for real climbing specialists.
Only ten seconds still separate the leaders Vingegaard and Pogacar in the overall classification. After the time trial, the two protagonists are certain that there will be a different situation with bigger gaps. Vingegaard is the last to set off, two minutes behind Pogacar. The Dane will therefore always have an eye on the Slovenian's split times.
