Visma | Lease a Bike has presented a special jersey for the Tour de France 2024. The Dutch racing team led by Jonas Vingegaard, Wout van Aert & Co. will be riding in a blue jersey this year instead of the usual black and yellow one.
The jersey from clothing partner AGU was unveiled in a special form in a 3D animated video. It shows the riders of Team Visma | Lease a Bike at iconic locations in Florence, which were designed in the style of the Renaissance using 3D technology.
The video shows how the shell of the stone sculptures slowly breaks and the new special jersey is revealed under the façade. This animation is presumably intended to symbolise the power of the new jersey. The team will certainly be able to use some of it at the Tour de France 2024, which starts on 29 June.
Richard Plugge, CEO of Team Visma | Lease a Bike, said: "With this beautiful cycling jersey, we not only honour this historic time and the beautiful city and region, but it also symbolises our commitment to innovation and renewal. This commitment extends to both our team and our collaboration with partners."
The Cervélo team bikes also feature the Renaissance design...
The new cycling jersey will be worn for the first time on the first stage of the Tour de France 2024 in Florence, where Team Visma | Lease a Bike will be racing with Jonas Vingegaard to win the world's most important cycling race for the third time in a row.
