Two important events in professional sport are coming up next weekend: the Milan-San-Remo race will take place on 17 March, opening the series of major and traditional spring classics. And one day later, a great German cyclist who won the race in 1968 celebrates his 75th birthday: Rudi Altig. To mark the occasion, TOUR presents a current video interview with Altig, in which the Mannheim-born cyclist talks about his career and his life, as you would expect from him. Straight from the horse's mouth!

Rudi Altig celebrates his 75th birthday on 18 March. But the cycling veteran has by no means made himself comfortable on the sofa. Altig is still an active and sought-after cyclist. TOUR met Altig and conducted an interview with the man from Mannheim in co-operation with Deutsche Welle:
