There is hardly a statistic that our partner portal Procyclingstats.com does not have. Among other things, there is a detailed evaluation of the racing bike brands and the victories this year, which we are focussing on here.
The 2025 victory statistics show Specialized as the clear top dog with 202 victories across all road cycling categories (men & women combined - from the elite to the junior classes). The American brand spreads its victories across twelve teams, including top teams such as Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe, Soudal Quick-Step and Team SD Worx - Protime. This broad positioning gives Specialized a dominant position in both men's and women's cycling.
Colnago achieved second place with 125 victories, concentrating on fewer teams. UAE Team Emirates - XRG and UAE Team ADQ form the backbone of the traditional Italian brand. Trek completes the podium with 87 victories and relies on teams such as Lidl - Trek, which is active in both the men's and women's categories. The American brand utilises a balanced strategy between WorldTour teams and Continental teams.
Broken down into the men's and women's elite, a similar picture emerges - albeit slightly differentiated. In the men's category, Specialized is clearly ahead of the competition with 106 victories. Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe and Soudal Quick-Step contribute significantly to this success. Colnago achieved 97 victories in the men's race, mainly through UAE Team Emirates - XRG. Trek follows in third place with 66 victories, with Lidl - Trek as the main contributor. Cervélo and Factor complete the top 5 with 50 and 41 victories respectively.
Specialised dominated the women's race even more with 91 victories. Team SD Worx - Protime, AG Insurance - Soudal Team and FDJ - SUEZ form the foundation of this success. Canyon achieves 35 successes in women's cycling and positions itself as the second strongest brand. CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto, Fenix-Deceuninck and Movistar successfully use the German bikes. Colnago follows in third place with 28 victories through UAE Team ADQ.
The distribution of victories shows the different market strategies of the manufacturers. Specialized pursues a broad strategy with many teams from different categories. This approach enables maximum visibility and data collection from different racing situations. Colnago favours quality over quantity with a few, but very successful teams.
Smaller brands such as XDS (32 victories), Van Rysel (26 victories) and Pardus (25 victories) show that specialised approaches can also be successful. XDS concentrates on the XDS Astana Team, Van Rysel exclusively equips the Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team. This focused strategy enables intensive development partnerships and optimised coordination between riders and equipment.
